Terms of Service

1. About the Service

PPG Social is a paramotor flight logging application operated as a personal project. It lets you log flights, track equipment, upload photos, and connect with other pilots. The service is currently provided free of charge but this may change in the future—you'll be given reasonable notice of any changes to pricing.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use PPG Social. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorised access, reset your password immediately and let us know via the support page. One account per person, please.

4. Your Content

Your flight data, photos, comments, and other content remain yours. By uploading content to PPG Social, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. Shared flights and public profile information may be visible to other users as part of the social features you choose to use. You can delete your content at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

Be the pilot you'd want to share airspace with. Don't:

• Attempt to hack, exploit, or compromise the security of the service
• Upload illegal, abusive, or harmful content
• Spam, harass, or abuse other users
• Use the service for any purpose it wasn't designed for
• Create multiple accounts or impersonate others

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination. If you find a security issue, please report it responsibly via the support page instead of exploiting it.

6. No Guarantees Whatsoever

• Uptime: The server might go down. Maybe I forgot to pay the hosting bill, or maybe a squirrel chewed through a cable somewhere. Who knows?
• Data persistence: While your data is kept as safe as possible, backups are your friend. Export your logs regularly because, well, things happen.
• Features: Bugs exist. Features might break. That cool new feature you wanted? It's on the "someday maybe" list along with learning to wingover.
• Support: Support is best-effort. I'm probably out flying when you need help (priorities, right?).

7. The Service Might Change or Disappear

This is a hobby project. Life happens. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. If the service is shutting down, you'll get reasonable notice and the opportunity to export your data. Features may be added, changed, or removed without notice. Again: export your data regularly.

8. Not Safety Equipment

This app logs flights; it doesn't make aviation decisions for you. Don't trust it for anything safety-critical. Check your equipment yourself, make your own go/no-go calls, and if the app says your wing has 500 hours when it really has 800, that's on you for not noticing. PPG Social accepts no responsibility for decisions made based on data in the app.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. Short version: your data isn't sold, it isn't shared, and keeping it safe is a priority. The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.

10. Intellectual Property

The PPG Social application, its design, code, and branding are the property of the operator. Your content remains yours. Don't copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the application itself.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No guarantee is made regarding uptime, accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PPG Social and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use the service (which, if you're on the free tier, is nothing). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PPG Social and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

14. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. PPG Social reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, you may request export of your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

17. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
